Tokyo, Sep 9 (Prensa Latina) A delegation headed by the first vice president of the Cuban Sports Institute (INDER), Raul Fornes, is holding meetings with authorities from the main baseball franchises in Japan on Thursday.
 
According to the Cuban digital newspaper Jit, Fornes, who also headed the Cuban delegation that competed recently in the Paralympic Games, met with the general manager of the Softbank Hawks, with whom he exchanged viewpoints on the hiring of Cuban athletes and other issues of cooperation with the National Baseball Federation.

One of the League teams, Chiba Lotte Marines, said in the voice of International Director Kuramochi Manabu that there is the possibility of new incorporations of Cuban baseball players.

Later, during a meeting with the general manager of the Yomiuri Giants, Atsuhiro Ohtsuka, the Japanese official expressed the team's great interest in hiring Cuban players.

The agenda of the INDER's first vice president also included meetings with the head of the Professional Baseball League of Japan (NPB) and authorities from the Rakuten Eagles and the Chunichi Dragons teams.
