Cuban doctor living in Bolivia José Carlos León described as an increasing honor his participation in the 4th Conference on Nation and Emigration, to be held in Havana on November 18-19.

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University for Development and Innovation (UDI) in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, León told Prensa Latina that he was proud to represent, along with other compatriots, those who, like him, live abroad and take their concerns and suggestions.

“This is a significant event of interest to the Cuban people and Government, in which leading issues, including the changes in our loved homeland, will be discussed, he told that news agency.

The Cuban doctor added that the event will be a special moment for him because he will have the opportunity to socialize with Cuban residents in other nations and listen to their proposals in the debate.

León was confident that “the 4th Conference will unanimously advocate for eliminating the absurd policy of more than six decades ago.”

On Tuesday, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel welcomed delegates to the meeting on social media.
