Cuban minister stresses next opening of scientific-technological park

Havana, Sep 29 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, Elba Rosa Perez, highlighted on Tuesday the imminent signing of the first contract to execute the Havana Scientific and Technological Park project, the first of its kind in the country.
 
On her official Twitter account, Perez announced the signing of the contract, which will give way to the official start of the scientific-economic entity.

Located on the grounds of the University of Informatics Sciences, the center aims to promote scientific and technological development, innovation and the transfer of knowledge, to contribute to the economic and social progress of the country from the new information and communication technologies. With a range of 26 projects, aimed at solutions for the industry, platforms for virtual services, e-commerce, among others, its implementation was conditioned to the epidemiological situation of the country associated with Covid-19.

Other centers such as the Jose Antonio Echeverria Technological University in Havana, the University of Havana, and their counterparts from Villa Clara, Matanzas and Holguin provinces, as well as the Agricultural University in Mayabeque province, will host future projects of this kind.
