Santiago de Cuba, Dec 7 (Prensa Latina) Reynaldo Cedeño, recognized for the National Cultural Journalism Award, received here the tribute in the meeting "The author and his work", sponsored by the provincial Library Elvira Cape, revitalizes today the promotion of Cuban literature.

With a multiple work, the poet and writer also shared anecdotes of 32 years in journalism, during which he has excelled in the press, radio and television, with numerous awards and spaces in magazines and newspapers such as La Jiribilla and Juventud Rebelde.

About 20 books of the most diverse contents are part of that career, which has been nourished to a great extent by his incursions into reality, which he has revealed in a masterful way in his chronicles, awarded in several editions of the National Contest of that genre.

Recently awarded the Distinction for Cuban Culture, Cedeño has interviewed personalities of the stature of the Cervantes Prize of Literature, Dulce Maria Loynaz and the so-called vedette of Cuba, Rosa Fornes, among other top figures of literature and the arts in the country.

In the interview with writer Yunier Riquenes, one of the leaders of the literary platform Claustrofobias, the intellectual expressed his high regard for time, which is finite and must be respected when creating for the public, which should not be overwhelmed with extended speeches.

He illustrated this assessment in an interview with the remarkable painter José Julián Aguilera Vicente, who in the final days of his life, suffering from a terminal illness, confessed that those minutes were the most important of his existence, simply because he was still alive.
