Cuban duo (f) to third stop Norceca beach volleyball tournament

Havana, May 17 (Prensa Latina) Cuban duo Amanda Armenteros and Yenifer Lopez will compete in the third stop of the Norceca Beach Volleyball Circuit 2023, official sources confirmed today.
In statements to the digital media Jit, the couple’s head coach, Alain Hernández, indicated that the objective of Cuba’s first female couple will be to seek points for the qualification to this year’s Pan American Games.
The competition scheduled for May 19-21 in the Cayman Islands will be one of the few remaining to obtain the quota to the continental event, to be held from October 20 to November 5.
Hernandez added that the girls are focused on being included among the top four in each lid, while still dreaming of a podium finish.
Armenteros and Lopez will be the Cuban representatives at the Central American and Caribbean Games of San Salvador 2023, after finishing sixth last weekend at the Varadero stop.
Their next competitions would be a Norceca U-23 phase (June 1-5), another with pre-World Cup category (June 6-9), both in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and the Pan American qualifier, according to the coach.
