Carlos Rafael Fernández de Cossío Domínguez, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, has publicly accused the United States of subjecting Cuba to decades of multifaceted aggression, including military threats and acts of terrorism.

Official Alleges Broad Campaign of Hostility

From his official Facebook profile, the Vice Minister stated that Cuba has faced various forms of aggression from the United States for decades. He listed specific actions such as "attempted assassinations of leaders, the introduction of biological agents, crop fires, and explosive attacks against Cuban diplomatic and commercial offices abroad." Furthermore, he identified U.S. migration policy as an instrument of destabilization and reaffirmed that the economic, commercial, and financial embargo against the island constitutes a permanent weapon, supplemented by pressures and coercive measures on companies and governments of third countries.

Digital Platforms Labeled as Instruments of Sabotage

A key point of the denunciation was the accusation against certain digital media. The official asserted that "counter-revolutionary digital platforms like El Toque" are part of these aggression mechanisms, claiming they are "funded and directed from abroad for purposes of economic sabotage." He indicated that this confirms information previously exposed by the Cuban television program Razones de Cuba. Fernández de Cossío Domínguez emphasized that such instruments lack independence and serve objectives defined by the U.S. government, which he qualified as hostile activity against the stability and well-being of the Cuban people.

Warning on US Financial Hegemony

In his concluding remarks, the Deputy Minister reiterated that Washington's policy, sustained by its financial hegemony, has demonstrated a capacity to destabilize even developed economies. He issued a warning about its effects on countries like Cuba, framing the longstanding U.S. policy as a direct threat to the island's stability.
