Cuba is currently one of the most sought-after destinations by those planning their vacations in the Caribbean in the first quarter of 2021, indicate statistics from the travel analysis website Forwardkeys.

The country dominates the inquiries among potential Canadian and Spanish tourists, according to data based on the Skyscanner flight search engine.

In addition, Cuba is one of the top five destinations in the region among potential visitors from the United Kingdom, France and even the United States, whose President Donald Trump imposed travel restrictions on the island.

The Caribbean News Digital website deems that the feasible arrival at the White House of Democrat Joe Biden, who is leading the polls ahead of the presidential elections on November 3, bolstered searches for Cuba as a likely travel destination for 2021.

Under strict sanitary protocols to avoid the contagion of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus since July 1, Cuba opened to international visitors the Jardines del Rey destination, in the north-central part of the country.

Starting next October 15, the resort of Varadero, which has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world according to tourists, will also begin to receive travelers from other nations.
