Cuba Strengthens Biopharmaceutical Ties in India

Armando Garrido Beracierto, president of MediCuba, is leading the Cuban delegation attending the India Pharmaceutical Industry Exhibition (IPHEX 2025), regarded as the country’s largest platform for the sector.

According to the official website of Cuba’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the event held in New Delhi, the Cuban delegation held meetings with leading institutions and companies in healthcare, biopharmaceuticals, and medical equipment, with the goal of exploring opportunities for bilateral cooperation.

Focus on Technology and Research
Discussions centered on technological exchange, joint research, and access to new markets for Cuban products.

As part of the program, the delegation also met with the National Committee for Solidarity with Cuba, to whom they expressed gratitude for its recent fundraising campaign in support of the Cuban healthcare system—a gesture that reaffirms the bonds of friendship between the two peoples.

Expanding Global Reach
Cuba’s participation in IPHEX 2025 is part of the strategy to internationalize the Cuban biopharmaceutical industry, aimed at expanding its presence in Asia and consolidating strategic alliances in the face of global health challenges.
