Cuba reports 967 new COVID’19 infections, 0 deaths

Havana, January 5 (RHC)—Cuba reported on Wednesday 967 new cases of COVID-19, almost 300 more than those reported the day before.

The figure confirms the growing trend reported in the Caribbean nation in the last 2 weeks. No deaths associated with the disease were reported.

Of those diagnosed,  133 had their source of infection abroad.

The province of Pinar del Rios had the highest number of infections, 165. Matanzas, Camaguey, and Villa Clara each exceeded 90 cases.

With the latest update, Cuba accumulates 969 138 cases and  8,324 deaths due to the virus.
