Cuba reports 727 new Covid-19 and four deaths

Cuba today registered 727 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes Covid-19, and four deaths due to complications associated with this disease.

With this data, the total number of confirmed cases in this Caribbean nation since March last year is 63,725 and 380 deaths, said Dr. Francisco Durán, the national director of Epidemiology.

Of those diagnosed over the last 24 hours,723 were autochthonous cases and four were imported.

The specialist added that 3,739 patients with the active virus remain hospitalized.

On Tuesday, 20,132 PCR tests were carried out island-wide to detect the presence of the virus.
