Cuba reports 57 new Covid-19 cases and no deaths

Havana, Aug 16 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) on Tuesday reported 57 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours and no deaths as a result of the disease.

According to the daily report from MINSAP, 370 of 375 active cases are clinically stable, while five patients are being treated in intensive care units, three are seriously ill and two who are in a critical condition.

Also the official report states that 100 patients were discharged, so the total number of recovered patients rose to 1,100,614.

So far, Cuba has accumulated 1,109,577 contagions since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.

According to the official report, the death toll remains at 8,529.
