Cuban health authorities reported on Sunday 634 new cases of Covid-19, the second largest figure during the pandemic, and three new dead associated to the disease.

This bring the total amount of cases to 21,261 since last March and 194 death toll, for a lethality rate still under 1%, Chief Epidemiologist Dr. Francisco Duran said in his daily morning briefing.

On Saturday, 14,237 tests were done throughout the island to detect the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus, bringing the total to 1,778,231 tests done since the outbreak of the pandemic.

President Miguel Diaz-Canel called for a greater institutional, social, family and individual responsibility in the face of the complex epidemiological scenario.
