Cuba reported 43 new Covid-19 cases and no deaths

Havana, Jul 7 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) on Thursday reported 43 new Covid-19 cases and no deaths related to the disease in the last 24 hours.

According to the daily report from MINSAP, all molecular biology laboratories in Cuba performed 2,728 PCR tests in real time on Wednesday to detect the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Of 176 active cases reported nationwide, 174 are clinically stable, while two patients are being treated in intensive care units: one in a critical condition and one who is seriously ill.

At a press briefing on television, MINSAP added that 41 patients were discharged after recovering from the disease, so the total number of recovered patients rose to 1,097,519.

So far, Cuba has accumulated 1,106,283 contagions since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country in March 2020.

According to the official report, the death toll remains at 8,529.
