Colombo, Feb 23 (Prensa Latina) Cuba reiterated its gratitude to Sri Lanka for the permanent support provided in the fight against the US blockade, which has been in force for six decades, the press disclosed here on Tuesday.

The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka's President Gotabaya Rajapaksa received the Cuban Ambassador Juana Elena Ramos at the headquarters of the Presidential Secretariat, and both sides highlighted the historic relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, a diplomatic source informed.

Sri Lanka's president and the Cuban diplomat also expressed the interest of both countries to continue strengthening their ties.
