Given the increase of imported COVID-19 cases, Cuban authorities announced that as of June 5, new measures would be implemented.

Travelers residing in Cuba who arrive at airports of tourist poles will be isolated in the province of arrival for even days in tourist facilities. They will have to cover the expenses with hard currency at a local hotel and transportation from the airport to that facility.

After testing negative on the seventh day of isolation, the return transportation to the province of residence must also be paid by the traveler.

Meanwhile, residents in the national territory arriving through Havana and Santiago de Cuba airports will have to cover the costs of transportation services from those terminals to the isolation center and then to their place of residence.

In The case of Havana and Santiago, the payment will be in local currency, according to the current rates, and that will include luggage surcharge.
