Covid-19 cases continue to decline in Cuba; no deaths

The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) on Sunday reported 31 new Covid-19 cases and no deaths, so the death toll remains at 8,529.

Therefore, Cuba has a 0.77 percent lethality rate compared to 1.19 percent in the world and 1.74 percent in the Americas.

According to MINSAP data, Cuba has reported a total of 1,105,258 cases since March 2020.

Some 31 medical discharges were granted on Saturday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,096,474, that is, 99.2 percent of all cases here since 2020. There are 196 active Covid-19 cases in hospitals.

Some 192 of the latter have a stable clinical evolution and four are in a serious condition.

To detect the coronavirus, a total of 5,972 samples were taken on Saturday, and the country has run 13,857,121 tests so far.
