Nassau, Aug 18 (Prensa Latina) The 1st Regional Meeting of the Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM, in Spanish) concluded on Thursday, where leaders debated on the region's challenges in cracking down on climate change.

CARICOM´s Heads of States agreed that a better world is possible if all regional nations work together to solve their own issues.

The talks were useful for coming 27th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP27) to the UNFCCC to be held next November, in Egypt.

CARICOM´s member states will bring the working-hard message to mitigate impacts of climate change.

Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero posted on his Twitter account Cuba´s attendance at the meeting is an unconditional support symbol it offers to the Caribbean nations, while reaffirming the call to spare no effort in fighting climate change and for regional nations´ development.

Likewise, he stressed present environmental crisis really calls to put an end to the irrationality of production patterns and capitalism consumption.
