Cabrisas continues to carry out an intense working agenda in Russia

Moscow, Jun 21 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Deputy Prime Minister, Ricardo Cabrisas, met in this capital on Tuesday with Minister of Trade and Industry, Denis Manturov, and with the First Vice President of the Central Bank of Russia, Vladimir Chistiukhin.

He also met with Director of the state-run oil company Rosneft, Igor Sechin, and the the head of energy company Inter RAO, Boris Kovalchuk.

According to sources from the Cuban side, current issues regarding development and deepening of economic, commercial and financial relations between both countries were addressed in the meetings, especially in the energy, industrial, air transport and banking spheres.

On Monday night, Cabrisas met cordially with President of the Russian Society of Friendship with Cuba, Alexei Lavrov, in which the permanent solidarity of the Russian people with Cuba in the fight against the US blockade was shown.

Also on Monday, the Cuban deputy prime minister spoke with President of the Russian Federation Council (Senate), Valentina Matvienko, about the current state of bilateral collaboration and about the role that the parliaments of both countries must play to promote bilateral cooperation.

The Cuban leader thanked the resolutions approved by the Federation Council since 2016 against the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, and recognized the humanitarian aid provided by Russia to Cuba amid the difficult times of the Covid-19 pandemic.
