Brasilia, Mar 24 (Prensa Latina) Brazilian trade unions called on workers to hold a national strike to protest against both the country´s health chaos and Jair Bolsonaro´s irresponsible administration in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The trade unions, among other demands, are calling for a lockdown by the federal administration, social distancing, massive anti-Covid-19 vaccine distribution, emergency relief worth R$ 600 (about US$ 110) monthly, programs to protect and keep employment and income, as well as the financial support by small- and medium-sized businesses.
In an interview with TVT, the National Confederation of Financial Branch Workers Vice President Vinicius Assumpção Silva described Bolsonaro´s actions as tragic.
