Bolivian president hails re-election of UN Secretary General

La Paz, Jun 18 (Prensa Latina) Bolivian President Luis Arce on Friday congratulated United Nations (UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres on his re-election for the 2022-2026 term.
On his Twitter account, the president also ratified Bolivia's support for all actions and programs promoted by the Secretary General for the benefit of humanity.
Ambassador to UN Diego Pary also congratulated Guterres and reiterated Bolivia's support for the Secretary General's vision and actions based on the pacifism and multilateralism that characterize his country's foreign policy.
Guterres was prime minister of Portugal and UN High Commissioner for Refugees before becoming head of that organization in 2016, when he took over the position from South Korean diplomat Ban Ki-moon.
