La Paz, Sept 28 (Prensa Latina) Bolivian peasant indigenous organizations urged legal authorities to sanction Santa Cruz Governor Luis Fernando Camacho, the Ahora el Pueblo daily highlighted on its cover on Tuesday.

They staged acts of atonement to indigenous peoples' flag and unanimously condemned the attitude of the main leader of the 2019 coup d'état in the celebration of the independence of that department, this media outlet reported.

They announced they would close ranks to defend democracy and against fascist right-wing destabilizing attempts against the constitutional administration of Bolivian President Luis Arce.

From Tarija city, the Bartolina Sisa National Confederation of Campesino, Indigenous, and Native Women of Bolivia declared itself in a state of emergency and announced demonstrations across the country so that the wiphala flag be respected.

'This is our symbol of unity, resulting from our struggle, that allowed for the process of change that radiates throughout Latin America,' the women said.

We called on the Public Ministry to file legal action against those who lowered the flag when it was being raised in that eastern region on Friday, they stressed.

Santa Cruz authorities ordered to lower the tricolor and wiphala flags from the mast, which had been raised by Choquehuanca, incumbent president, minutes before. Subsequently, they tore them off and outraged them, an action repudiated since that day.
