Baroque music season begins in Havana’s Historic Heart

The Ars Longa Early Music Ensemble from Havana invites you to the inaugural concert of the September 2023 Baroque Season at the San Francisco de Paula Church.
With the participation of flutist Niurka Gonzalez and her daughter Malva Rodriguez, the event will take place on Friday, September 8, at 7:00 p.m., local time, in Concert of Parents to Children: Celebrating Bach.
The guests of the renowned and selective ensemble will perform works by Johan Sebastian Bach, his son, Carl Phillip Emanuel Bach, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
In the September Baroque season, the Ars Longa Early Music Ensemble and guest soloists book two more concerts on September 22 and 29.
Created by Teresa Paz and Aland López in 1994, the Ars Longa Early Music Ensemble has belonged to the Office of the Historian of the City of Havana since 1995.
It is made up of graduates of music conservatories in Havana and the Higher Institute of Art, and has dedicated its work to the interpretation, study and research of different periods and styles, from the Middle Ages to the Baroque.
