Buenos Aires, Jan 14 (Prensa Latina) A second flight will depart on Thursday from Buenos Aires to Moscow in search of 300,000 new doses of Sputnik V vaccine to continue the Covid-19 vaccination program throughout Argentina.

In a special trip by Aerolineas Argentinas, without a stopover and lasting 40 hours, the batch of the medicine is expected to touch the ground in Buenos Aires on Saturday at noon.

In a message on the Internet, the head of the country's flag company, Pablo Ceriani, confirmed that the flight will take place thanks to a coordinated work among different areas of government to fulfill this fundamental logistic task in the fight against the pandemic.

Lately, Ceriani recalled that in 2020 the airline made several repatriation trips, then with the transfer of medical material from China and in this 2021 they go in search of vaccines for the country. 'We would never have wished to carry out those tasks and hopefully they will be the last ones in Covid-19 times,' he said.

Since mid-December the country began the vaccination program and up to date 138,218 people have been immunized in 477 locations in the country, all of them health personnel.
