Japanese Theater Company To Perform in Cuba

Havana, Feb 2 (Prensa Latina) ''Chura'' Japanese Theater Company will be performing from February 16th to 17th at Cuba's National Theater, Cuba's National Council of Performing Arts announced today.

The Japanese artistic ensemble will be performing its exciting Okinawa show: The flower of the Sun.

The Asian company is currently touring around Latin America, so as to perform the same play in countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, Panama and Cuba.

Such play will be performed in Cuba as part of an exchange program between both Cuban and Japanese Ministries of Culture, focused on making known the Japanese culture, and showing Okinawa's features.

The Asian theater group was founded in 1998 as a professional female group devoted to rescuing the traditional Japanese Ryukyu discipline.
