International Workshop on Sustainable Development Called in Cuba

With the slogan "For a comprehensive management focused on sustainable development", organizers called for the 9th Workshop on Science, Technology and Innovation CIT Atenas-2016 to be held from October 4th to 7th.

Dariel Leon Garcia, president of the organizer committee, told the Prensa Latina news agency that knowledge and innovation must contribute to develop skills and sustainable development.

Eleven themes will lead the debates, "Social innovation", "Current challenges for Cuban development", "Spatial and functional structures of innovation", "Cooperation and networking", and "Knowledge, innovation and industrial property" amid them.

"Management innovation in sustainable food production", "Productive chains and value chain", "Knowledge management and integrated management systems" and "Local development focused on sustainability", are also themes of the summit.

The workshop is sponsored by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, the Cuban Office of Industrial Property and the Virtual Observatory for Technology Transfer from the University of Alicante, Spain.
