especiales

The third theoretical meeting between the Labor Party of Mexico (PT) and the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) began sessions today, with exchanges of experiences to build a better world.
In the inauguration of the meeting, Angel Arzuaga, deputy head of the ideological department of the PCC, thanked the PT for its solidarity with the cause of the five Cuban heroes that served unfair, long prison sentences in the United States.
"Their release is a victory of the Cuban people's resistance, but also of world solidarity and therefore, a triumph of the Labor Party as well," said Arzuaga.
The return home of Gerardo, Hernandez, Ramon Labanino, Antonio Guerrero, Rene Gonzalez and Fernando Gonzalez, known as The Cuban Five, is one of the most important victories of the Cuban people in recent times and it happened without any kind of concession, he said.
A message addressed to the PT leadership by Jose Ramon Balaguer, a member of the leadership of the Central Committee of the PCC, also acknowledges the longstanding close links between the two political organizations.
Topics like the people's power and the citizens' involvement, the onslaught against proggressive and revolutionary governments of the continent and the media aggression are part of the debate among representatives of the two parties.
The third theoretical PT-PCC meeting will be in session through Jan.24, attended by political leaders, legislators, scholars and representatives of social organizations.
