Cuba holds 46th Bonfire of Friendship

The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) held on Saturday the Bonfire of Friendship at the Julio Antonia Mella camp in the western province of Artemisa.

The member of the 27th South American Brigade of Voluntary Work Rafaela Rigatti expressed that the yearly holding of this activity is the way of being among the sister nations which make up the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba.

'This is a meeting to feel ourselves accompanied amidst a great worry felt on a global level due to regressions in important spheres such as peace, self-determination and people sovereignty,' she said.

The President of the ICAP, Fernando Gonzales, convened a campaign called 'Embracing Friendship' in honor of the 60th anniversary of the foundation, a special motivation to consolidate the work of solidarity with Cuba.
