Vietnamese Vice President Begins an Official Visit to Cuba

Vietnamese Vice President, Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, begins on Sunday a five-day official visit to Cuba as part of the frequent political, economic and trade exchanges between the two countries.

Ngoc Thinh corresponded to an invitation from the first Cuban Vice President, Salvador Valdes, with whom she will hold talks about the strengthening of the historic relations of friendship and cooperation between both nations.

Her program includes meetings with other Cuban senior leaders. As a permanent president of the Vietnam Women's Union, she will also meet with the leadership of the Federation of Cuban Women.

Vietnamese Vice President will arrive in Havana from Switzerland, where she participated in the 29th World Summit of Women.

Born on December 25, 1959, Ngoc Thinh has been a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam since 1979 and is a member of the Foreign Relations Committee of the National Assembly.
