Venezuela Calls For the End U.S. Blockade Against Cuba

Cuban residents in Venezuela have called for the immediate end of U.S. blockade against Cuba and also the normalization of bilateral relations between both nations.
During the First Meeting of the Eastern Region of the Association of Cuban and Cuban Residents in Venezuela (ACCREVEN) in the city of Cumana, capital of the State of Sucre, on September 29, participants raised their voices against such a harsh policy, a really step backwards, according to a statement from the group.
Likewise, participants expressed their opposition to the unilateral sanctions promoted by the United States against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which seek to overthrow its constitutional government and the destruction of the revolution led by President Nicolas Maduro Moros.
Attendees of the forum, including the presidents of 12 organizations from the Eastern Region of Venezuela, the Capital District and the National Board of Directors, and a large representation of Sucre chapter, have reiterated their solidarity with Cuba and its speedy recovery after Hurricane Irma´s path.
