Indeed, the average American, so divorced from the reality of the rest of the world, functions mentally as he lives, whether with ease or difficulty, and is now exasperated by high inflation, excessive fuel and food costs, the concern of losing their jobs, the new outbreak of COVID-19, being in latent danger due to the numerous shootings, excessive expenses in education and health, and depending, many of them, on bonuses to obtain some foods; all this without counting the latent discrimination that is reflected in daily activities.

In this context, analysts indicate that the decline in recent polls of presidential welcome is based on a series of events that have taken place in recent weeks in the country, such as the increase in gasoline prices, the absence of formulas for babies in markets, signs of a likely recession, and the July 4th mass shooting, which affected the debate on gun control.

Thus, despite the efforts to eliminate the debts of university students and the strong campaign for the population to be vaccinated, the North American president, Joe Biden, sees the acceptance of his presidential mandate, which has also been hit by a Supreme Court of Justice that encourages the carrying of weapons, prevents abortion, and even stimulates the increase in climate change that can end human life, all taken advantage of by its Republican opponents.

This has notably contributed to the fact that only 29% of the population accepts his mandate, 10% less than the previous president, Donald Trump had in the same period, while despair sets in in Democratic voters, mainly young people, who do not want Biden to persist in his intention to be re-elected in 2024.

All that, of course, benefits his Republican rivals, with various possible candidates for the presidency, including Trump, despite being questioned for his alleged responsibility in the assault of thousands of his supporters on Capitol Hill on January 6th, 2021. with a balance of five dead, many injured and detained and damage to the building, in order to prevent Biden from being sworn in as president.

Hawaii and Vermont are the only states where Biden supporters outnumber opponents in polls, overall; the president's greatest allies are African-Americans, with 64% and 56%, respectively, although support figures have fallen relative to other polls.

Only 13% of U.S. voters believe the country is on the right track. For Biden, this bleak national outlook has pushed his job approval rating to a dangerously low point. Unsurprisingly, Republican opposition is overwhelming, but more than two-thirds of independents now also disapprove of the president's performance, and nearly half strongly disapprove.

Only 70% of Democrats approve of the job the president is doing, and according to The New York Times, "a relatively low figure for a president, especially for this year's midterms, when he needs to rally Democrats to the polls to keep the control of the Congress.

The New York Times also said there’s a "major disconnect" between the president's continued praise for the economy — despite the aforementioned high gas prices and record inflation — and voters.

IMPRUDENCE IN FOREIGN POLICY

When Joe Biden beat Donald Trump a year and a half ago, many rejoiced. The general slogan was: We’ve stopped the monster. However, events have shown that, in terms of foreign policy, the current president is no better than the previous one.

But if domestically he achieved the highest inflation in the last 40 years and that many Americans have been hit by hunger and poverty, externally it had to face defeat in Afghanistan and use its servile North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to carry out a senseless confrontation against Russia, forcing it to launch a special military operation in Ukraine.

Biden, like the rest of American politicians, quickly learned that those who choose them are not the voters, but the donors; and he constantly raised defense expenditures —which is already 840 billion dollars, a record— to try to make the American people believe that the more it costs, the safer they will feel.

However, the horrific and even culpable execution by Biden and his team —on the other hand, necessary— of the exit from Afghanistan, in August 2021, has shaken that conception so deeply rooted in the thinking of Americans, who, last year, they were direct witnesses that the high investments the country makes in defense are not having the result that all citizens expected.

In another scenario, since the end of December 2021, the clumsiness —evilness? — of the government and of those who really rule, are dragging Europe and the world into the worst security crisis since the end of the Second World War.

When the Soviet Union disappeared, so did the Warsaw Pact, which was the Warsaw Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance, which was in existence between 1955 and 1991, establishing a mutual defense organization originally composed of the Soviet Union and Albania (until its withdrawal in 1968), the German Democratic Republic (it left in 1990), Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland, and Romania. Until then, NATO was virtually nullified, but from then on it royally served the United States' plans, by bombing the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1999.

Despite the recommendations of those who designed the US containment policy against the USSR, after the end of World War II, that the critical mistake of extending NATO's footprint not be made to Russia's western border, Biden has kept that reckless purpose.
