Kremlin Sets Date for Round of Negotiations on Ukrainian Crisis

A new round of trilateral negotiations involving Russia, the United States, and Ukraine aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine is scheduled for next week in Geneva.

A new round of negotiations on resolving the conflict in Ukraine is scheduled for next week, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitri Peskov announced. He added that this time, the Russian delegation will be headed by Russian presidential advisor Vladimir Medinsky.

*"The next round of negotiations on the [Ukrainian conflict] settlement will also be held in a trilateral Russian-American-Ukrainian format on February 17 and 18 in Geneva,"* the Kremlin spokesperson, Dmitri Peskov, informed.

Earlier, Western media outlets published reports, citing sources, that the next trilateral meeting between representatives of Russia, the U.S., and Ukraine could take place next week in Miami or Abu Dhabi.

The capital of the United Arab Emirates has already hosted two rounds of trilateral talks on the peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian conflict. The first took place on January 23 and 24.

At the conclusion of the second round, held on February 4 and 5, Russia and Ukraine agreed to exchange a total of 314 prisoners. White House special envoy Steve Witkoff detailed that the U.S., Russia, and Ukraine discussed methods to implement a ceasefire and monitor the cessation of hostilities.
