Cuba's ambassador to the African Union (AU), Lucas Domingo Hernández, today denounced the imposition and intensification of new pressure measures against the Caribbean island by the United States government.

Hernández, in statements to Ethiopian television channel Hagerie TV on the sidelines of the 39th Ordinary Session of the AU Assembly, underscored the direct impact of this unilateral policy on the full development of Havana's economic, commercial, and cooperation relations with African countries.

He noted that these actions constitute an obstacle to joint initiatives in key sectors, affecting not only the Cuban people but also shared efforts for mutual benefit.
