Members of the Bolivian Movement of Solidarity with Cuba (MBSC)-La Paz are facing the challenge today of multiplying the results of the "Solar Panels for Cuba" campaign, following a call from their president, Alidson Gómez.

“Today we meet with a clear and urgent purpose: to express our active solidarity with the brotherly people of Cuba. It is not just about words, but about concrete actions that reflect the historical, cultural, and human ties that unite us,” stated the doctor, a graduate of the Latin American School of Medicine in Havana.

Speaking at the seminar titled “If Imperialism Returns, Cuba Will Respond with the Strength of Girón,” held at the Higher University of San Andrés, Gómez affirmed that Cuba faces enormous challenges, many of them derived from the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed for more than six decades by the United States.

She indicated that, amidst this reality, energy has become a critical necessity, as without stable electricity, hospitals, schools, homes, and the daily lives of millions of people are affected.

“From Bolivia, a land of struggle and dignity, we raise our voice and extend our hands. This is why we are promoting the solidarity campaign for Solar Panels for Cuba. This initiative is not just a technical response to an energy problem; it is an act of brotherhood, resistance, and hope,” the MBSC leader maintained.

She explained that solar panels represent light, autonomy, and the future, which is why every contribution, effort, and gesture counts.

“It does not matter how large or small it is,” Gómez emphasized, “the important thing is to join forces and together build a solidarity alternative.”

On behalf of the MBSC, the activist invited social organizations, unions, students, professionals, and all friends of Cuba to be part of this campaign, to spread the word, to contribute, and to get actively involved. “Because when a people resists, the other peoples of the world must accompany them,” she said.

“Today more than ever, we reaffirm that solidarity is not charity; it is commitment. It is understanding that Cuba's struggle is also our struggle, and that together we can make a difference. Let us join this campaign. Let us light the flame of solidarity together,” concluded the president of MBSC-La Paz.
