9th Polish Culture Week in Havana soon

Important among these activities will be the theoretical event on urbanism, Polonia: un pacto con la Ciudad, la belleza y el ciudadano that will take place at the Audiovisuals Room of the Fine Arts National Museum’s Cuban Art Building on April 12, 3:00 pm.

In the theatre and literature sector will take place the initiative Una tarde con Witold Gombrowicz, with the dramatized readings of fragments from Ivonne, princesa de Borgoña, by Carlos Díaz and El Matrimonio, by Sahily Moreda.  This idea also includes the presentation of the novel Ferdydurke under the direction of narrator and Professor Francisco López Sacha, at the Fayad Jamís bookstore on April 13, 5:00 pm.

On April 14 a program of great Polish composers from the 19th and the 20th centuries will be presented at the Concerts Room of the Basílica Menor of San Francisco de Asís Convent.  

The films Dioses, by Lukasz Palkowski and Carte Blanche, by Jacek Lusinski will be premiered at Cine 23 y 12 movie theatre on April 15 and 16, respectively.

The photographic exhibit Samaritanos de Markowa will be opened at the Comunidad Hebrea de Cuba until May 2016.

Lastly, dance will be represented by the play ¡Polonia crece!, dedicated to the 1050 years of the Poland’s birth or baptize at the Sala Teatro Retazos in Old Havana.
