Cuban High-Level Military Delegation Visits Vietnam

Vietnamese Deputy Defense Minister, General Do Ba Ty, has stressed that his country''s friendly relationship with Cuba will continue.

His comments come after he received a Cuban delegation from Cuba''s Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (MINFAR), led by Brigadier General, Juan Perez Gil.

The meeting in Hanoi was held to discuss measures to promote cooperation in training military staff and to analyze ways to further strengthen bilateral ties.

The Cuban delegation thanked Vietnam for the experience they have acquired from Vietnam to develop their army.

In December 2015 Cuba and Vietnam celebrated the 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries with an extensive program of activities in Vietnam and Havana.
