Brown, 22, was admitted in late June to a center for palliative care after a relapse in her precarious state of health.
“Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015, surrounded by her family,” said her aunt Pat Houston in a statement.
Brown was found unconscious in a bathtub in January by her partner Nick Gordon, following which she was put into an induced coma.
“She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months,” she said.
Whitney Houston drowned in February 2012 in the bathtub of a Beverly Hills hotel room at the age of 48, after years of battling with addiction and substance abuse.
The death of young Brown brought together the estranged families of Brown and Houston, who were seen hugging and consoling each other as the tragic end approached.
The family had barred Brown’s former boyfriend Gordon from visiting her since she was admitted in January.
A lawsuit was filed against Gordon in late June for physical abuse and withdrawing money without authorization from Brown’s bank account.
According to the lawsuit – that claims $10 million in damages – Gordon, also Brown’s adoptive brother, had dragged her by the hair down the stairs and delivered a strong blow to the mouth breaking a tooth and withdrew money from her account without authorization.
Several media reported Brown had numerous facial injuries around her mouth at the time she was found unconscious in the bathtub on Jan. 31.
Initially, Gordon told authorities the injury marks were a result of his attempts to revive her.
The couple, who formalized their relationship after the death of Whitney Houston, were involved in several past incidents of domestic violence.
Fulton County Prosecutor has not ruled out the possibility of filing charges against Gordon, after the Roswell Police Department announced they were investigating the case.
Singer Bobby Brown became a father for the sixth time on July 9, when his current wife, Alicia Etheredge, gave birth to a baby girl in Los Angeles, California.
