The Cuban men’s eight with coxswain secured the country’s first medal in the rowing competition at the second edition of the Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games, held in the bay of the Paraguayan capital.
According to the event’s official website, the bronze medalists are Ronny Álvarez, Henry Heredia, Keiler Ávila, Adel Gutiérrez, Suárez, Robert Fernández, Paz, Félix Puentes, and Pedro González, who covered the 2,000 meters of the aquatic course in a time of 5:45.96 minutes.
In other events with Cuban participation, Leduar Suárez and Roberto Carlos Paz placed fifth in the men’s double sculls, falling short of the podium.
