The Cuban division of Meliá Hotels International has announced that it has six properties in the running for the 2025 World Travel Awards.
The Spanish company has announced that these prestigious international awards will be delivered for the thirty-second time this year.
For the 2025 edition, the Meliá Cohiba and Meliá Cayo Coco, both of which are in the five-star category, have been nominated as Cuba's top-rated hotels.
Meliá Cohiba is renowned for its privileged location on Havana's Malecón and its facilities, making it an ideal choice for business travelers, event attendees, and food enthusiasts.
Furthermore, the Meliá Cohiba's Master Suite The Level is a standout in the category of Cuba's leading hotel suites for its design, sea views, and personalized service.
On the other hand, Meliá Cayo Coco is all-inclusive resort for adults, located in the northern part of the central province of Ciego de Ávila. It has recently undergone significant renovations and is a popular destination for weddings, romantic getaways, and honeymoons.
In addition, Paradisus Varadero and Paradisus Princesa del Mar, both in the resort of Varadero, have been nominated for Cuba's Leading Resort award.
Both provide luxurious accommodations, from cozy junior suites to spacious suites, as well as gourmet dining experiences, spa treatments, and activities designed to promote wellness and personal growth.
Also nominated to Cuba’s Leading Resort Award are Paradisus Río de Oro, an adults-only eco-resort in the province of Holguín; and Meliá Las Dunas, a hotel that welcomes families, couples and groups of friends, in Cayo Santa María.
The World Travel Awards, often referred to as the Oscars of Tourism, honor the finest destinations and establishments worldwide, based on the assessments of experts, travelers, and professionals in the field.
