Cuban rowers to Paraguay for Asunción qualifier

The second group of Cuban rowers who will participate in the qualifier for the Junior Pan American Games of Asuncion 2025 will leave today for that Paraguayan city, the venue of the tournament before the multi-sport event, scheduled from the 18th to the 23rd.
As reported by Angel Luis Garcia, president and national commissioner, the first team left on Saturday to complete base in that country. The stay there will guarantee their completion of the preparation that began at the José Smith Comas track, in La Coronela dam, headquarters of rowing and canoeing, in Caimito, in the western province of Artemisa, and a training stay at Hanabanilla Lake, in central Villa Clara.
Those chosen among the men are Leduar Suarez, Roberto Carlos Paz, Henry Joan Heredia, Pedro Antonio Gonzalez, Keiler Avila, Adel Gutierrez, and Rober Landy Fernandez.
The women are Claudia Tolón, Marialis Leiva, Ana Laura Jiménez, Natalie Bárbara Morales, Lisandra Bárbara Verdecia, Anelis de la Caridad Galindo, Dagné Méndez and Keyla Almaguer.
The purpose of the Cubans is to get the places in four specialties for men, the double pair of short oars (2x), four pair (4x), double and four coxless (2- and 4-), while with the women we will do it in the 1x, 2x, 4x and 4-, in all cases open weights.
