Nikolic awarded highest Cuban decoration

The same order was last year awarded to Presidents of Russia and China.

When he arrived in Havana, Nikolic was welcomed by Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra Diaz, Cuban Ambassador to Belgrade Mayra Ruiz and former ambassador to Belgrade Mercedes Valdes.

In a warm welcome Diaz wished Nikolic on behalf of the President of the Republic of Cuba, the deputy FM pointed to a high level of cooperation between the two countries, which he said has got a new dimension with the president’s visit.

Serbia’s delegation includes Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar and the president’s wife, Dragica, who will visit Obstetric Hospital “Ramón González Coro” and donate equipment for babies, as well as laptops for the Sierra Maestra special school, Nikolic’s media relations office issued in a statement.
