The day before, on Friday, President Miguel Díaz-Canel reiterated Cuba's support for Venezuela's sovereignty, after the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) certified Nicolás Maduro's victory in the presidential elections on July 28th.
The Electoral Chamber of the TSJ of #Venezuela has already certified the victory of @NicolasMaduro in the June 28 elections and ordered the publication of its results to the CNE. When will the interventionists and the doubtful apologize to the re-elected President and his brave and noble people?, he asked through the social network X.
The Supreme Court of Justice of Venezuela certified last Thursday the victory of President Nicolás Maduro after a formal appraisal of the results of the presidential elections.
The ruling confirmed that “in an unrestricted and unequivocal manner (…) the bulletins issued by the National Electoral Council are supported by the voting records issued by each of the machines.”
According to the president of the Supreme Court, Caryslia Rodríguez, in the context of these elections Venezuela suffered an attempted coup d'état accompanied by a large-scale cyber attack.
