Cuban Parliament finishes its 2nd Ordinary Session today

The 2nd Ordinary Session of the 10th Legislature of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP) will come to an end today in this city with the discussion of key economic, political and social issues.

The day’s program features a report by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment about the fulfillment of the Foreign Investment Law, as well as the presentation of three new bills—related to Public Health, the Office of the Military Prosecutor, and the System of Attention to People’s Complaints and Petitions—and the ANPP’s 2024 timetable.

The sessions of the previous day included the presentation by the Minister of Justice about the implementation of the Family Code one year after its adoption by popular referendum and of the Criminal Proceedings Act by the People's Supreme Court.

Also on the table was Cuba’s critical situation regarding food production and the measures to be taken by the Ministry of Agriculture to boost the sector and mostly intended to put quality items on the Cuban people’s tables.
