Russia considers Ukrainian offensive in Zaporozhie stopped

The Ukrainian armed forces in the Zaporozhye direction are exhausted and their counteroffensive in that sector of the front has stopped, stated the governor of the territory, Evgeny Balitsky.

The functionary confirmed that “the enemy has been stopped”, and although battles are still being fought near Rabotino (Robotyne to Ukraine), partially in Shcherbaki and to the right on the Vremievsky ledge, these are the last and fruitless few Ukrainian attempts.

Balitsky also mentioned the failure of the plans devised by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to reach the Sea of Azov and cut off the land corridor to Crimea.

The Ukrainian troops launch their attacks mainly without armored support, since Russian troops are very successful in destroying them, Balitsky stated, recalling that five Leopard 2 tanks were annihilated in the last 10 days.

Balitsky also said that Russia began the construction of a railway that will connect Rostov-on-Don and Crimea and pass through the Donetsk and the Zaporozhye regions, which he hopes will soon be fully liberated by the Russian forces.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeri Zaluzhny recently admitted that the conflict has reached a dead end, as the expectations that Ukrainian troops were going to “arrive in Crimea, fight in Crimea, return from Crimea” in four months were not met.
