Cuba reports 16 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths

The Cuban Public Health Ministry reported today that 16 new Covid-19 cases were detected in the Caribbean country, bringing the total number of active cases to 72.

According to the closing report of April 16 at midnight, nine medical discharges were granted and the number of recovered cases reached 1,104,365.

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, 1.113.26 million citizens have been infected with the coronavirus.

The report does not mention any deaths, so the number of deaths remains at 8,530, while one patient is being treated in intensive care in critical condition.

The vaccination schedule is complete for 90.7 percent of the Cuban population, while 8,717,430 people have booster doses.
