Exclusive Cigar Delicacies in Habanos Festival 2015

New products of Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta cigar brands are significant exclusives planned for the XVII Habanos Cigar Festival that will be held next February in Havana, sources of the sector reported today. A report released on Wednesday by the international corporation Habanos S.A., adds that the welcoming night of this cigar celebration will take place at the former Tobacco and Wood Warehouse, that now houses a sui generis brewery in Havana Bay.
Organized from 23 to 27 February, this is one of the most important meetings of the global tobacco industry, inasmuch as it promotes Habanos, which are regarded to be the best Premium or hand-made cigars of the world.
The official note refers that Cuba will show all its charms at the Habanos Cigar Festival, an event that, as in every edition, incorporates new products.
Furthermore, the program includes the opening of the Trade Fair in the Palace of Conventions in Havana, where debates, tastings and competitions related to cigars will also take place.
It was released that at the welcoming ceremony the spotlight will be on Romeo y Julieta and its Gran Reserva Cosecha 2009, which is awaited with great excitement by expert smokers.
The International Seminar will include once more the union between cigars and exclusive food delicacies.
For the occasion, they plan to combine ranges of tastes with Chianti wines from Italy, perhaps one of the most expected novelties.
The program is completed with lectures, the International Contest Habanosommelier (XIV edition), and the second competition for the longest ash.
The traditional visits to the best plantations of Vuelta Abajo (western province of Pinar del Río) and the historical Habanos factories La Corona and H. Upmann, will be carried out.
The celebration of the 25th anniversary of the franchise La Casa del Habano (140 locations around the world) is also scheduled, with a meeting in the Cuban protocol area El Laguito.
A dinner dedicated to Montecristo 80 Aniversario, during which the traditional auction of humidors whose total sum will be allocated to the Cuban health system, will round off the current edition of Habanos Festival.
