Cuba reports 31 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Havana, Dec 26 (Prensa Latina) Cuba on Monday reported 31 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths and 144 patients with this disease.

Twenty-five patients were discharged on Monday, so the total number of recovered patients rose to 1,103,154. Since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020, 111,887 cases have been reported, and the death toll remains at 8,530.

This favorable epidemiological outcome is the result of the vaccination campaign against Covid-19, as Cuba has administered 42,672,459 doses its homegrown Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala vaccines.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, 90.3 percent of the Cuban population has been fully vaccinated, while 8,671,866 people have received booster shots.
