Havana, Oct 11 (Prensa Latina) Cuba's Center for Demographic Studies (CEDEM) begins a cycle of scientific sessions on Tuesday on the occasion of the 295th anniversary of the University of Havana.
Today’s session is scheduled for 13:00 hours, local time, and is entitled: “Demographic analysis of the productive agricultural chains. A tool for the design of agricultural food policies.”
During October and November, CEDEM will offer research results on important issues such as the Cuban migratory situation and policies to address the demographic position, rural areas, children and youth, among others.
These meetings are spaces for scientific debate and free participation, organizers stated.
According to specialized sources, Cuba maintains a high number of deaths, few births, and its population decreased in all provinces in late 2021.
