Elito Revé: «I'll Give a "Charangonazo" at Habana Mambo Festival»

Elito Revé y el Charangón close the Friday night, August 26th, at Salón Rosado de La Tropical, central stage of Habana Mambo Festival, International Convention «Music, dances, and popular traditions», organized by the Provincial Culture Directorate of the capital and the Mambo Producciones Artistic Unit, associated with Musicuba company of EGREM.
The director of the "steamroller", direct heir to a musical tradition that defends indigenous genres such as changüí, stressed that Habana Mambo Festival comes at "times when we need to care for and further strengthen Cuban culture and our cultural identity."
Elito celebrated the festival’s inclusive nature in terms of art manifestations and genres of our popular music, and the perspective expressed by organizers of increasing the presence of Cuban rhythms in an event that aims to grow over time.
"Cuba is a musical power worldwide," he assured, and listed expressions that prove so like the changüí, the songo, the son music, the danzonete, the nengón, the mozambique, among others that are strengthened in spaces like this International Convention of music, dances, and popular traditions.
He assured that he was very happy with the opportunity to participate and announced that he is going to "give a good charangonazo in La Tropical."
