Luanda, May 2 (Prensa Latina) The special representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) in the Central African Republic, Valentine Rugwabiza, acknowledged Angola's support for the search for a definitive peace in that country.

At the end of an audience with President João Lourenço, the Rwandan diplomat told the press that her visit to Luanda responded to essential points: to convey the gratitude of the UN and to address the issue of the road map for the achievement of a peace agreement in the Central African Republic (CAR).

As pro tempore head of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region, Angola contributed to the design of the instrument that serves as a vehicle for negotiations, the head of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in CAR, Minusca, said.

Rugwabiza arrived the day before in the capital for a brief 24-hour stay, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, whose head, Téte António, welcomed the official at the 4 de Febrero International Airport.

Also today, Lourenço received at the Palace of Cidade Alta the executive secretary of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries, the Timorese Zacarias da Costa.

The executive explained to journalists that the talks with the head of state dealt with the Angolan management at the head of the organization, one year after the beginning of his mandate.
