Havana, Apr 6 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Wednesday thanked Cuban nationals abroad and friends in solidarity who have carried out donation campaigns to fight Covid-19 in the country.
On his Twitter account, the president ratified the nation’s ties with Cuban residents abroad.
The Government has expressed its intention to further strengthen and diversify ties between Cuba and its nationals abroad, and stressed that this is an irreversible and constantly updating process.
“We have to continue advancing along this path towards the complete normalization of ties, despite the fact that the United States is trying to use part of the emigration against the homeland’s goals,” Cuban First Deputy Foreign Minister Gerardo Peñalver said recently.
The Cuban residents abroad and activists from solidarity movements maintain a constant relationship of support with the Caribbean island in order to fight Covid-19 and denounce the blockade imposed by Washington.
